2001 Schedule of the Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts were in their 49th season in 2001. They were led by Jim E. Mora (Sr.), and played their home games in the RCA Dome. After a disappointing season, Mora was fired on January 8, 2002. The Colts finished the season with a 6-10 record. They went 3-5-0 at home and 3-3-0 on the road. The Indianapolis Colts ended the 2001 regular season with a record of 6-10, finishing fourth in the AFC East. Despite playing mediocre defense, the Colts scored 413 points which is impressive for a team with so little talent. Marvin Harrison and Dominic Rhodes were the Colts’ top receiving players. Both players combined for 1,523 receiving yards, and Chatzke dropped opposing passers for a season-high nine sacks.
