Established by Andreas Adam in 2000, this small winery in Neumargen-Dhron produces Feinherb style Rieslings vinified in stainless steel to preserve their fruitiness and freshness.

Dhron Hofberg is the main vineyard on our estate and features both slate and quartzite soils, producing 100% Riesling from young vines, aged 5-25 years, that yield a wine with exotic fruit flavors, subtle spice aromas, wild slate nuances and balanced acidity.

Early Life and Education

Deacon John Adams and Susanna Boylston had three sons; Adams was their eldest. Although initially inclined towards ministry work, after graduating Harvard College he decided to focus his studies in law instead.

Once he graduated college, he taught grammar school in Worcester, Massachusetts for three years – during this time keeping a journal as part of his personal development journey.

He detailed his efforts to escape from a life as a schoolmaster and achieve a more satisfying career, as well as his frustration over declining church faith and perceived that science and industry offered greater spiritual stimulation than religion – something which drove his mission of transforming Providence-St Mel School into a premier learning institution for African American students.

Professional Career

AJ, as his clients call him, has over two decades of experience in financial services and boasts impressive credentials – Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) as well as holding series 6, 63, 7 licenses from LPL Financial.

Before joining WPSI, AJ spent seven years at MetLife as an Investment Specialist and then as Senior Vice President of their Financial Institutions group. While at MetLife AJ led efforts in creating new client service offerings such as online account opening, digital account management tools, mobile banking as well as writing white papers for the firm.

Achievement and Honors

AJ has made an indelible mark on his community and strived for excellence throughout his life. An active member of Charleston County School District and West Ashley High School where he teaches social studies classes five days per week while coaching baseball three years out of every four.

AJ is actively engaged with numerous student organizations beyond teaching and mentoring his pupils, such as One Tent Health, Cru, Terp Thon and running a newspaper for Student Government Association. Furthermore, he works with TREVOR Lifeline to prevent suicides among LGBTQ+ youth while being recognized with Charleston County School District’s 2021 Teacher of the Year Award.

Personal Life

AJ Adams has been playing professional football since 2014 for the Las Vegas Raiders and married his incredibly supportive wife Devanne Villarreal since attending Fresno State University and moving together. They met while in Fresno before moving together to Las Vegas after graduation; together they have two children. Aside from football, AJ runs a successful real estate venture with several high-end clients which funds his love for travel as well as funding his faith community service activities such as serving as President of his local chamber of commerce and coaching kids basketball in basketball drills!
