Alabama Football 2001

The Alabama football 2001 season was the 69th NCAA Division I-A season for the Crimson Tide. The Crimson Tide improved from their 3-8 record in the previous season to finish 7-5 overall. Dennis Franchione was the head coach, replacing Mike DuBose. The team won five conference titles, one SEC championship, and played in four bowl games. Below is a look back at the Crimson Tide’s season.

The 2017 Crimson Tide is likely to have three quarterbacks on its roster. They will have Jones and Tua Tagoviloa in the first and second rounds, respectively, and Jalen HUTS, a 2020 second-rounder. The depth of the Alabama roster could even favor the Tide with at least one of those players becoming an established starter. The Crimson Tide will still have enough quarterbacks to make it to the playoffs if one of the quarterbacks falls off the draft board.
