There is a large variety of movies to choose from at Allen Theaters in Farmington, New Mexico. The Allen Theatres were built in 1937 on the site of a former opera house. In 1947, the theaters opened their first concession stand. The two-story building had a triangular-shaped marquee and tons of neon. But the theaters began to close down around the 1970s, as the Allen Theatres chain began to build multi-screen theatres.
