The global supplier of metal, plastic, and glass containers and closures to dozens of industries. Berlin is a partner owner of the Chicago Cubs in baseball. Additionally, he is Chairman and Owner of the South Bend Cubs, a Chicago Cubs minor league affiliate. Berlin practiced law at Katten, Muchin, and Zavis before becoming involved in the business. 

Berlin is also involved in business, the community, and public safety. He is a Commissioner of the Public Safety Commission in Glencoe, Illinois, a member of the Illinois State Police Merit Board, and he funds the Institute of National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University, where he also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.
