Calculating the Kinetic Energy of a Car During Braking

A car traveling at an initial speed of sixteen meters an hour can reach a resting position in 3.6 seconds. This is due to the uniform acceleration of the car during braking. In other words, a car travelling at an initial rate of 16 m/s can reach a resting position in half an hour and continue to move at this constant speed for an hour. In the next section, we will consider the kinetic energy of a vehicle during braking.
