Carnival Cruise Line Introduces New Livery For Their Ships

Carnival Cruise Line has recently introduced a new livery for their ships, which will be used throughout their entire fleet. The new Mardi-Gras livery features navy hulls with vibrant red and white accents. The livery will be available in the latter part of the summer. The Carnival Mardi Gras will also feature the new Carnival livery, which will debut in the late summer.

During dry dock in Marseilles, France, the Carnival Magic was repainted in new colors. The new livery features a stylized version the Southern Cross. It was designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the iconic Italian brand. Another new livery for Carnival will appear on the Odyssey of the Seas in 2020. This is the second change to the company’s look in a decade. In 2014, the Quantum of the Seas debuted a new color template for the company, with a light blue hull.

The new livery is a reflection of Carnival’s commitment to the domestic US cruise market. Carnival was the first major US cruise line to not move its homeports to Caribbean. However, executives indicated that they may have to do so in future if the current fleet is forced to relocate.

Carnival also plans to add three new Costa cruise ships to its fleet. The names and liveries of the Costa Luminosa, Costa Magica, and Costa Magica will remain the same. However, the third ship will be given a new look that reflects the company’s overall brand aesthetic. These ships will include new restaurants such as RedFrog Rum Bar and Punchliner Comedy Club. They will also have Playlist Productions shows and a Chef’s Table dining experience.

Carnival has been in trouble recently. In 2001, the company sold its largest ship, Tropicale, to Costa Cruises. It also sold several ships made in the 1980s to other lines. Other ships that were sold include the Holiday and Jubilee. A third ship, the Carnival Vista, debuted as a flagship ship on December 11, 2019. Its sister ship, Carnival Paradise (launched in 1998), is also part of the fleet. The Carnival Ecstasy, launched in 1991, is the oldest ship in the company’s fleet. The ship can accommodate up to 3,600 passengers at double occupancy.

Four new Carnival ships are planned for 2022. The Carnival Celebration is due to make its maiden voyage on November 6, 2022. The new ship will be a sister ship of the Mardi Gras, and will sail from Miami all year. The Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland is currently constructing the new ship. It will feature a roller coaster for the first time at sea and will also feature a new, eco-friendly LNG power plant.

Despite the new livery, Carnival ships are still getting updated with their signature colors. The Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Inspiration have already undergone dry docks, which has changed their appearance and function. The Carnival Luminosa, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Sunshine will also get a new paint job. The new livery will feature a vintage funnel design with the iconic colors of Carnival.
