Chicken Pastel

Ingredients:

Pasta:

• 1 1/2 tablespoon of butter
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon of baking powder
• 5 cups of wheat flour
• 5 cups of grated Minas cheese
• 3/4 cup of warm milk

Filling:

• 1 chicken breast
• 1 chopped onion
• 2 chopped garlic cloves
• 1 chopped tomato
• 1 spoon of olive oil
• 1 can of green corn
• 1 can of tomato sauce
• 1 spoon of wheat flour
• 3 tablets of broth chicken
• Olives and green smell, chopped to taste

Preparation mode:

Pasta:

  1. In a bowl mix the dough ingredients
  2. Follow the order in the list above
  3. Reserve the milk
  4. Knead well with hands until ingredients are well incorporated
  5. Add the milk little by little until it forms a homogeneous mass
  6. Cover with a towel and let rest

Filling:

  1. Cook the chicken breast, shred and reserve
  2. Add the oil to a pan and fry the onion, without browning
  3. Put the garlic and fry a minute
  4. Dissolve the broth cubes in half a cup of hot water
  5. Add chicken and broth cubes to the onion
  6. Place the spoon of wheat flour and stir continuously until it thickens
  7. Add the other ingredients and mix everything
  8. Put out the fire.

Assembly:

  1. Roll out the dough with the help of a rolling pin
  2. Use a cutter of approx. 8 cm in diameter
  3. Add stuffing in one half of the dough
  4. Fold the dough into a half-moon
  5. Squeeze with your fingers so that the sides close tightly
  6. Fry in hot oil until golden brown
  7. Drain on paper towels
