The Colts have made a few changes to their coaching staff for 2017, including some new faces. While many of the previous members of the staff are returning, there are a few key changes to the coaching staff that are worth noting. For instance, head coach Frank Reich will likely be in charge of the wide receivers, which will require a significant overhaul. Fortunately, this can be remedied by hiring one of the players below.
Mike Mitchell: Former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Mitchell spent 10 seasons in the NFL. Mitchell won the Super Bowl in Miami two years ago and was appointed special teams coach in 2017. Mitchell was previously with the Oakland Raiders and Steelers before joining the Colts. This is an unusually diverse staff, with several members who had worked in different areas.
James Frazier: Frazier was the offensive quality control coach for Colts between 2018 and 2019. He was an assistant head coach at Middle Tennessee State from 2015-2019 and a graduate assistant from 2013 to 2015. He was promoted to assistant head-coaching in 2017 and was promoted to offensive quality control coach in 2018. Doug McKenney: Previously the head strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, McKenney spent over 30 years in the National Hockey League as a strength and conditioning coach.
The Colts still have questions, despite the addition of new faces to the offensive and defense lines. They will need to find new starters for key positions, including tackles, tight ends, and wide receivers. They do have a lot of depth on both ends of the ball and Harrigan is a talented player who can help both sides. In addition to Harrigan, the Colts have a number of capable players who can help on the defensive side of the ball. In addition to Harrigan, Colts head coach Barnes will also bring in a few young players to the offensive line.
Frank Reich was the 2014 Indianapolis Colts’ coach. He had great success throughout the season. After going 1-5 to start the season, the Colts won nine out of 10 games to advance to the playoffs. Dwayn Allen was also signed by the Colts, who were a free agent following the season. And, of course, the coaches have been selected by the NFL. Frank Reich was able bring a winning culture and spirit to Indianapolis because of this.
The Colts had an opportunity to win the game with a touchdown in the fourth quarter. After all, Adam Vinatieri kicked a 33-yard field goal for the Colts to win the game. Despite a late field goal, the Colts were able drive for 34 yards without scoring a touchdown. And it didn’t take long before the Colts were able to stop the Browns’ comeback and go on to win the game.
