Early Life and Education

David Rhodes was born and raised in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania and attended Springdale High School. A musician by profession, he played bass for their jazz band during school hours.

Rhodes enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his free time. He started riding when he was 15 years old, in 1953.

After reading a story about a Scottish Six Days Trial competition, he became fascinated and started writing articles for motorcycle publications. Additionally, he produced feature stories on Alberta motorcycle racing events.

He published three well-received novels before a 1977 motorcycle crash paralyzed him from the chest down. Although he continued writing, he hadn’t published in decades. Now he returns with an impressive new novel entitled Driftless.

Dave Rhodes is an American professional wrestler who currently competes on the WWE roster. He’s part of the tag team Goldust with his half-brother Dusty Rhodes.

He is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgeries. Additionally, he is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He had a distinguished career as both radio personality and sound engineer, working on local stations in Hagerstown and Frederick, Md.

He was an enthusiastic motorcycle rider, having started at 15 and quickly developed expertise on the topic. In 2018, he helped plan the course for the inaugural FIM Canadian World Trials Championship and was inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
