David Funeral Home was founded in 1964. It was previously known as Berges Funeral Home. It was located at 1101 Trotter Street. It was renamed David Funeral Home in 1986. In the same year, we established a branch in Loreauville at the Walet Home, located next to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. In the year 2000, we purchased the W. L. Landry Funeral Home in Jeanerette, Louisiana. The Broussard branch is now located at 316 Youngsville Highway. The Lafayette branch is located in the Whitney Bank Building.
Gerald Pellerin, a New Iberia resident, was a member of the Fire Department for 28 years. He loved spending time with his family and working with his hands. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and a dedicated grandfather. His son Gerald Pellerin lives in Livingston, LA. His grandchildren include Tyler Pellerin, Addie Pellerin, and Kim Waldrop.
Visitation for Mr. Comeaux began Friday at 4 p.m., and a rosary was held at 7 p.m. The funeral home will be open until the time the funeral takes place. He died at 10 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2000, at the David Funeral Home in New Iberia. He was a retired employee of the city park grounds maintenance.
Mrs. Butler, along with her husband, was a member of Zion Travelers Baptist Church as well as the Star Spangled Banner Society of Olivier. Her mother, Willie, was a member of the Zion Travelers Baptist Church choir. Ted and Elie Bonin were her brothers who served as chaplains.
