David Holsapple

David Holsapple was born on March 1878 in Lexington, Kentucky to Samuel Davidson Holsapple and Keziah A. Hobgood.

On April 10, 1902, at age 77, he passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana and was buried there.

Early Life and Education

David Holsapple was born in 1940 to Alvin and Naomi Holsapple of Conemaugh, Pennsylvania. He shared a home with his parents until the age of nine when his parents passed away in 1993.

He attended Franklin High School, graduated, and then continued onto Eastern Mennonite University where he earned a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

He married Leanna Cokley in 1999, making her the mother of his daughter Tiffany. Additionally, they shared a life partner. Unfortunately, he passed away August 2018 leaving behind his loving family: his mother Janet Aynes of Lindale; son Tiffany Holsapple (Anderson), Texas; brothers Jim and Jan Holsapple (Oklahoma City); plus several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Randy Rice from Anderson who had been his best friend for over 50 years passed away as well.

Professional Career

David is currently CEO and Managing Director of LC Real Estate Group, a Loveland-based developer. Additionally, he lectures on mindfulness at Colorado State University and has been an ardent devotee to yoga and meditation for more than 30 years. This devotion has paid off, leading to one of David’s most rewarding careers ever: making a difference in people’s lives through his teachings on this topic.

Achievement and Honors

David Holsapple’s accomplishments and honors were numerous and diverse. These included winning an award for most impressive a cappella performance, being named to the best class of 10 scoreboard, receiving top student of the year accolades, as well as having an exceptional student teaching experience and becoming one of many distinguished graduates.

The accolades mentioned are but a glimpse of what goes on at this campus. Academically, an array of high achievers has earned their way into some coveted endowed positions – including several alumni living on campus! Notable individuals included a high school graduate who had excelled in multiple high-caliber programs and an undergraduate whose academic achievements far surpassed those of her peers.

Personal Life

David Holsapple was the co-owner of Holsapple Motors in Salem for many years, and a much respected member of his community and friend to all his customers.

He served on the board of directors of the American Legion Post in Salem and had a generous heart that always gave back to his community.

He was a loving husband and father, cherished by his family. Survived by his beloved wife Shirley Parker and two sons Matthew and David Douglas, he will be missed dearly.

Net Worth

David Holsapple has an estimated net worth of between $325-499K. As an accountant, he has extensive experience in the financial industry that spans more than three decades.

He holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses as well as being chairman emeritus of Gradison Corporation, an accounting firm in Cincinnati.

On August 31, 1998, he was imprisoned at Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail for a conviction on an unrelated matter. He was released from custody on July 2, 1999.

He was the son of Olen Wade and Bessie Helen (Squibb) Holsapple and survived by his wife Shirley Parker; sons Matthew and David Douglas; brother Jim; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. For many years he co-owned Holsapple Motors in Salem with his partner Charles Coffin.
