Early Life and Education
David Rhinesmith was born on April 28, 1860 in Indiana to his parents Winfield Rhinesmith and Nellie Rhinesmith.
He married Lois Ruth Wilcox on month day 1925 at an undisclosed location, Iowa. Together they had two children; David B Rhinesmith was their eldest and Helen M Rhinesmith was their only child.
His wife passed away in 1990 at their marriage place in Iowa. Tanya Hanson and Brian Hanson, his daughter and her husband, survived him.
He is survived by Logan and Parker, his grandchildren whom he predeceased; as well as being deeply missed by them all. He was an ardent worker, always willing to assist people and find solutions.
Professional Career
David Rhinesmith has been practicing law since 2010, specializing in government investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, complex civil litigation matters and white-collar criminal defense cases. He is particularly familiar with healthcare fraud cases, having led several high-stakes investigations and provided advice in them as an expert investigator and counsel.
David Rhinesmith stands out among legal practitioners for more than his impressive litigation credentials alone; he excels at finding efficient and innovative ways to meet clients’ unique needs. A true collaborative partner who welcomes learning new techniques, his clients benefit from his ability to quickly identify, prioritize and resolve problems quickly; this has propelled him into one of the five top attorneys in Washington DC metro by his peers.
Achievement and Honors
David Rhinesmith is an accomplished musician and talented composer. He has created works for voice and guitar as well as being published author. David has performed in multiple concert venues in the Mid-Atlantic region while his works have been showcased by multiple publications.
At Temple University, he serves as Director of Choral Studies. Additionally, he belongs to the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society and frequently participates in music festivals and recitals.
He has received several honors throughout his career, such as being honored on the NAIA All-District team and helping SMSU secure its inaugural NAIA playoff appearance in 1987. Additionally, he served on the Indiana State School Music Association Leadership Staff for several years.
Personal Life
David Rhinesmith serves as Director of Sales for Ball, an age-friendly sports company which helps adults overcome injuries and aches by providing age-friendly ways of playing the game.
He resides in Winter Haven, FL.
David is also an ardent father to two children. With Eleanor (Bobbi), of West Fargo, North Dakota as their partner and parent of Tanya Hanson of Fargo and Jake Rhinesmith from West Fargo; as well as Logan Parker Raven.
He is survived by two family members: sister Jennifer Rhinesmith of Texas; and mother Dorothea Rhinesmith. A memorial service will take place Friday at 2:00 PM at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo with visitation taking place for an hour prior to the service; all are welcome to attend.
