David Weaver was raised in Albany, New York and earned his chemistry degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1958. Later on he went on to receive a Ph.D from Iowa State University in 1963.

As a research scientist, Weaver focused his work on biophysics and protein folding. Additionally, his discoveries helped define nuclear magnetism’s principles.

He has over two and a half decades of experience in financial planning and advising. In 1995, he founded True North Wealth Management to offer holistic, personalized guidance to clients. In September 2020 he joined MRK Financial Solutions, contributing his knowledge and resources to the firm’s clients.
