Early Life and Education

Children’s brains are still developing during their early years, making it vital that they receive quality education in a secure environment.

Children need to gain insight into their environment, themselves and how to interact with others. Furthermore, teaching them language and literacy skills is essential.

Parents are the primary educators for their children, but early childhood educators play a vital role as well. They help transition children from a carefree and dependent state to one of independence and activity.

According to the United Nations, providing quality early education for all children is a global priority. The Sustainable Development Goals include several targets to make this happen – one being that all children receive high-quality preschool and pre-primary education.
