George Dotson is proud to represent Inglewood City Council and champion the cause of safer neighborhoods and communities. He strives to foster local economic development and job growth through revitalization initiatives, while also improving quality of life for those affected by Los Angeles International Airport.

He has been a long-term resident of Inglewood and served as Planning Commissioner for two decades and Parking & Traffic Commission for five. Additionally, he volunteered his services to numerous public service organizations.

George Dotson is an esteemed member of Inglewood City Council with over 44 years of service to the community and 22 years on the Planning Commission, according to his biography.

He has been an enthusiastic supporter of the local school district, serving as a founding member of its block club and advocating for Measure K to help fund capital improvements across all schools in the city.

He has also been an outspoken supporter of social justice and racial equality. In 2016, he was one of few black athletes to stand up for former Yates High School football player George Floyd after he was shot and killed by a white police officer in Wisconsin.
