Haylin Adams is a Finalist on the Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship

Haylin Adams of Glasgow and finalist in Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship program was honored Friday afternoon by The Peoples Bank, Glasgow City Hall, and Barren County with a proclamation recognizing her contribution. July 23rd has now been declared Haylin Adams Day within her community.

Adams competed in season nine of the Kids Baking Championship with eleven other contestants from across the United States, where her lemon curd cupcakes proved especially popular with judges and she won two challenges.

Early Life and Education

Haylin Adams is no stranger to the spotlight; she was featured as the star of her own Food Network show and is renowned as a master baker. Her love for baking started from when she was still toddler-sized; most notably she won first prize at a local bake off competition – winning an entire pan of cookies as the grand prize – which remains her most memorable baking memory today. Haylin now aspires to pursuing a culinary degree at University of Kentucky.

Beyond her numerous awards and honors, Chloe boasts an incredible number of friends, relatives and community supporters. She takes great pride in her achievements and enjoys spending time with her two kids, Spud the dog and Chloe the cat as well as church activities, communities and families.

Professional Career

Haylin Adams of Glasgow made waves in the food world when she made it to the final four on season 9 of Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship competition, featuring 12 kids from across the U.S. vying for the grand prize of $255,000 dollars.

Haylin took pride in representing herself and Barren County at this competition. She credits Paula Tarry of Barren County 4-H Extension Agency as having encouraged her to apply.

Today she serves as Chief Scientific Officer at SkylineDx, a gene signature-based diagnostic testing specialist. She’s passionate about increasing diversity and encouraging women from diverse backgrounds into STEM careers; part of her role involves mentoring female STEM workers from both Black and Asian backgrounds.

Achievement and Honors

Haylin Adams of Glasgow received an incredible honor when her achievements were acknowledged by both her city, county and one of Kentucky’s premier officials – Mayor Harold Armstrong and Barren County Judge Executive Michael Hale issued a proclamation honoring Haylin’s accomplishments at an afternoon ceremony at The People’s Bank on Friday afternoon. They signed a proclamation declaring them worthy recipients.

She achieved greatness by becoming a finalist on Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship show and travelling all the way from California for this unique and enjoyable opportunity. Not only did she win two baking challenges and earn high marks in them all but she had much support from both friends and family while participating – something she will remember fondly when the time comes again to show her talents on TV!

Kentucky boasts at least one: Haylin Adams from Glasgow is recognized by her city, county and major bank for having consumers join Farmers RECC as consumer members.

Haylin Haylin of Barren County 4-H competed on Season 9 of Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship and finished fourth out of eleven contestants. She credits both her mom, Amanda, and maternal grandmother Margie Thompson of Glasgow with encouraging her to apply. After submitting an application and competing in multiple baking challenges she made it to finals and thoroughly enjoyed herself; saying it taught her so much from this experience that she aspires to pursue baking professionally when she grows up.
