John Bartow

John Barstow is a former Marine. He started off as a small unit tactics instructor at Quantico.

He then went on to flight school, graduating in the top 2% of his class. After graduating he was assigned to MCS Miramar strait.

Early Life and Education

Bartow was a member of several different schools throughout his life. His education was influenced by his religious background.

He was a very dedicated person and wanted to help others. He was very proud of his work and the community he helped to build.

His work also helped to promote the PA profession and improve its image in the medical field. He was very involved in the American Association of Physician Assistants and helped to organize quality continuing medical educational conferences for the PA community.

He was a very talented musician and had a strong passion for music. He started teaching music at St. Cloud High School in 1952 and was later named director of music at Summerlin Institute (now Bartow High School). He is a Florida Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame member.

Professional Career

Bartow’s professional career has spanned a wide range of industries and occupations. He has held numerous positions in the fields of education, business and law.

He also has been a director of several companies. He has managed a company that offers training in entrepreneurship, business planning and leadership skills.

He was appointed Executive Director of the Empire State Forest Products Association on July 18, 2015. He is responsible for the organization’s efforts to promote and protect New York forests and the forest products economy. He also works to increase public awareness of environmental issues.

Achievements and Honors

Bartow is a retired teacher and volunteer. He has been a part of the Bartow community for more than 25 years and has made a significant impact on children.

He has also received many awards throughout his career. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in 2006 and has been a member of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2005.

He is a member of the Bartow Kiwanis Club and has been honored for his Christian leadership in church, school and community. He was recently recognized at the Kiwanis Young Christian Recognition Program.

Personal Life

A man of great courage, John Barstow was a Civil War soldier and a former governor of Vermont. He died in Shelburne on June 29, 1878, aged 81 years.

He was born in Shelburne and taught in local schools before going West at an early age and engaging in business in Detroit, Mich. He returned to Shelburne in 1857 and took charge of his father’s farm.

During the Civil War, he enlisted in the 8th Vermont Volunteers, serving as captain and major. He was commended for eminent service on the field and in the assault on Port Hudson. He was also a member of the Reunion Society of Vermont Officers, the Grand Army of the Republic and a Mason. In retirement, he lived in Shelburne, where he died on June 29.
