John Bringardner

John Bringardner is an accomplished American lawyer with 37 years of experience in civil litigation.

He has represented clients in a variety of legal matters, such as medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, professional malpractice, insurance coverage and employment. Furthermore, he has handled clergy misconduct claims.

Early Life and Education

John Bringardner was born on November 7, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to John Krepps and Elizabeth (Evans) Bringardner. He earned a bachelor’s degree from University Central Florida in 1979 and went on to obtain his law degree from Florida State University College of Law the following year (1981). Admitted to practice law in both Florida (1982) and California (1993), Bringardner is also a member of both the American Bar Association and Florida Bar Association.

He served as general counsel of the International Churches of Christ in Los Angeles from 1993 until 2010, and was married to Emily Presley since June 19, 1982. On February 28th 2010 they lost their beloved spouse of 27 years; John Taylor and Michael Steven Bringardner are their children; Gregoire, Kevin, Aline and Margaux survive him along with many close family members.

Professional Career

John Bringardner is an experienced attorney specializing in complex civil litigation, such as insurance coverage and employment disputes. With more than 30 jury verdicts under his belt, including several in the medical malpractice field, he has extensive expertise handling claims involving emergency medical response issues and infectious diseases at long-term care facilities, nursing homes and assisted living communities; plus he focuses on nursing home negligence cases, medical malpractice and professional malpractice suits. Furthermore, John serves on the Surgical LOP Abuse and SIU Fraud Special Investigations teams where he investigates billing practices and ownership interests for surgeons.

John currently serves as Global Legal Editor at Debtwire, leading a team of reporters that provide in-depth coverage of bankruptcies and litigation from New York to Hong Kong.

John Bringardner holds three law degrees and is proud parent to five children.
