John and Carmen Diniuses enjoyed a long and eventful marriage that lasted over 30 years. John Dinius has been with Sycuan Casino for 22 years, beginning as a bingo pull tabs clerk and then progressing through positions such as slot attendant, shift manager and operations manager.

Throughout his tenure at Sycuan Casino, he was instrumental in its achievement of several landmarks such as being named one of the top 10 casinos outside Las Vegas by Yahoo Travel. Furthermore, he helped launch their new San Diego-focused brand which resulted in an impressive surge in visitor numbers to the resort.

As general manager, his mission is to foster an atmosphere that encourages excellence and teamwork throughout the organization. Furthermore, he practices bottom-up management so each department has access to necessary tools for successful guest service.

He recently joined forces with a nonprofit organization to offer mentorship and financial support to members battling cancer. This organization, named Cancer Angels of San Diego, has an impressive record in cancer treatment and research.
