John Fleurant, a former controller for Prudential Financial, has been appointed the Chief Financial Officer of New York Life Insurance Company and reports directly to chairman and CEO Ted Mathas.

For the past six years, he has led the finance department of an innovative insurance provider, providing products, retirement solutions and wealth management services.
