While he loved all of these things, there was nothing that he enjoyed more than spending time with his family.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, John Theodore Grandefeld passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2022. He was 44 years old and a loving brother to his sister Kristin and his brother James. In addition to his siblings, John was a proud uncle to five nieces and nephews.

Achievements and Honors

A good friend and brother to many, John Theodore Grandefeld passed away on March 31, 2019. He was born in 1909 and lived in the Bronx, New York. His achievements and honors include spending his childhood summers at the Larchmont Shore Club and completing numerous triathlons. In addition, he was a proud uncle to five nieces and nephews.

John also enjoyed traveling, camping and gold mining in Alaska. He was a free spirit who loved his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Dian and John, and his sister and her husband, Kristin and Murray. Besides his siblings, he is also survived by his nephews, James and Blake Grandefeld, and nieces, Asha and Luke Murray. Those who wish to honor and remember his life are invited to attend his funeral service on April 10 at the Church of the Holy Family in New Rochelle.

John Theodore Grandefeld, age 44, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2022 in the Bronx, NY. He was a native of New Rochelle, NY and was the beloved brother of Kristin and James Grandefeld. He also is survived by his parents, John and Dian Grandefeld. In addition to his siblings, he is survived by his nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at the Church of the Holy Family in New Rochelle.

A free spirit, John enjoyed traveling, gold mining in Alaska, camping, swimming, biking, and many other activities. He was an avid athlete, participating in sports like soccer, hockey, and tennis. He participated in many half and full marathons and triathlons. During his childhood, he spent his summers at the Larchmont Shore Club.
