John Pawloski is a retired earth science teacher and geologist. Additionally, he serves as Director of the Connecticut Museum of Mining and Minerals.

Early Life and Education

John Pawloski was born in Johnson City, New York. He graduated from Seton Catholic Central in Binghamton, New York in 1982 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Education from Clemson University three years later, in 1996.

He began practicing law in 1991 and currently owns his own firm. Additionally, he holds a license as a pastor and recently obtained his Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Professional Career

John Pawlowski has been the head coach of college baseball for two and a half decades, amassing 629 wins and appearing in 11 NCAA Regionals throughout his tenure.

Over his 28 year coaching career at the collegiate level, Pawlowski has produced 84 MLB Draft selections and 51 pitchers. Additionally, he served as assistant coach at Arizona State (1998) and Clemson (1994-98).

As head coach at College of Charleston, Pawlowski guided his squad to six consecutive seasons with 36 or more wins, three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances and two Southern Conference Tournament titles. Additionally, he produced 42 all-conference players, four academic All-Americans and three SoCon Pitchers of the Year.

Achievements and Honors

John Pawloski has achieved an incredible list of honors and successes throughout his career as head baseball coach. A veteran member of Clemson head coach Jack Leggett’s coaching tree, he has led his teams to five-straight NCAA Regionals and back-to-back College World Series appearances.

He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

He has worked for the Alcona County Road Commission, Lincoln, Michigan; Sanilac County Road Commission, Sandusky, Michigan; and Montmorency County Road Commission, Atlanta, Michigan. Additionally, he served as judge for Junior Achievement Northeast Michigan in Alpena. Furthermore, he was awarded with both the Distinguished Service Cross – which is the highest award for military valor – and Eagle Scout status – the highest rank in scouting.

Personal Life

John Pawloski is a family law practitioner. He handles all types of divorce cases, from uncontested to contentious custody disputes and beyond; plus any issues related to property division. Furthermore, John specializes in personal injury and real estate law as well.

Pawloski, in addition to practising law, has an interest in rocks and minerals. He has written a book on the history of mining in Connecticut and currently directs the Connecticut Museum of Mining and Minerals located in Kent, Conn.

He has an extensive background in technology, having founded Rolling Motion Industries – a company that manufactures efficient traction drives for motorcycles. As part of the National Motorcycle Industry Council, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons when not at work.
