John Sterner is a sculptor who has created many pieces of public art that are featured in private homes, high schools, colleges and universities, hospitals and public parks. He also teaches art at Lakeview High School in Cottonwood, Minn.

He is the recipient of SMAC’s Prairie Star Award this year.
