Karrion Kross has shared his new look via Twitter. The two-time NXT Champion is now in the main roster. He no longer wears Scarlett as his manager, and he has left the team. He is now wearing gear that resembles a gladiator’s helmet, which has earned him much mockery from fans. In an interview with ComicBook earlier this month, Kross explained why he decided to change his look.
Although the change in appearance is not a marketing gimmick, it is part of the WWE’s marketing strategy. The ability to change the appearance of a wrestler can increase sales of merchandise featuring his likeness. Fans might prefer Kross’s look in other situations. The new look is a good idea as long as it doesn’t hurt the character, although it might not be as likable as many fans would like.
It’s hard to tell if WWE will stick to the plan of changing Karrion Kross’ character. Although they haven’t confirmed whether they will change his entrance, it’s worth keeping an eye on the latest announcement from WWE. Although the actress will not appear on TV, WWE plans to make her new look part of her character. If the company sticks to its plan, she could soon return to the main roster as “psycho”.
RAW selected Kross following the WWE Draft. While he hasn’t wrestled since September 27, he defeated Ricochet on October 7’s edition of RAW. Recently, Kross has been working non-televised live events and vignettes in a suit. He defeated John Morrison in the Supershow live events on October 9th and 10.
