Los Angeles Chargers Contracts

The Chargers have been able to add two veteran-free agents to their roster after a disappointing start. Kyle Van Noy signed a four year, $22.5 million contract. He will receive $1.5 million in the next two seasons and a $750,000 signing bonus. Van Noy had 6.5 sacks last season and 7.5 tackles loss. He’ll be making $2.5M next year.

The Los Angeles Chargers signed five players in the 2022 NFL Draft. They are currently negotiating with the remaining five players. These five players include Otito Ogbonnia (defensive tackle), Jamaree Salyer (offensive lineman), defensive back Ja’Sir Taylor and cornerback Dean Leonard. Fullback Zander Horvath is also included in the deal. Besides the five free agents signed during the past few days, the Chargers also signed four players, including running back Isaiah Spiller, safety JT Woods, and wide receiver Zion Johnson.

Now that Justin Herbert is their quarterback, the Chargers are a balanced football team. They’re also on track to sign All-Pro center Corey Linsley in 2021. The Chargers had a lot of cap space after releasing Casey Hayward last year. After Mike Pouncey’s retirement, the Chargers were without a left and center tackle. By signing these two players, the Chargers will have a strong offensive line and defense.

Mark Webb, a Philadelphia native, signed a rookie NFL deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. After the 2020 NFL draft, he’ll be playing safety or cornerback for the team. Webb, a 24-year-old quarterback, has a lot to offer and was tested well before the draft. While Webb is undersized, he has the athleticism to play nickel back or undersized lineback.
