On Saturday, the sixth annual Walk for Warriors benefiting Lupus patients raised $34,000 at New Center Park. Sharon L. Harris was diagnosed with the disease by her mother in 2002 when she noticed changes in her skin. A dermatologist confirmed her diagnosis. Lupus Detroit’s mission is to eradicate lupus from Detroit. Lupus Detroit aims to achieve this through education, advocacy, and service.
