Net Impact Los Angeles

What does Net Impact Los Angeles do? The nonprofit has a unique mission to promote social change in Los Angeles by helping women and girls in need. Members of the Advisory Board of Net Impact Los Angeles help the organization decide which projects it will support and which to donate funds to. These events are held on a regular basis and are open to the public. These events not only bring together women and girls to work on non-profit issues but also provide networking opportunities.

The nonprofit Net Impact LA chapter of the world-wide organization is dedicated to empowering next-generation leaders to create positive change for people and the environment. Net Impact LA has partnered with Media Party to create a blog to showcase the accomplishments of its community of social impact entrepreneurs in the Greater Los Angeles area. In addition to managing the organization’s social media channels, Media Party handles event promotion and social media. Here are some highlights from the work of the nonprofit.

The organization has recognized Gayle Northrop, Principal and President of Northrop Nonprofit Consulting, who has dedicated her career to strengthening nonprofit organizations’ skills, streamlining internal systems, improving service delivery, and identifying impact. Northrop has generously supported Net Impact Los Angeles’ efforts to create a social enterprise resource-development program. The awards program is the result of the efforts of Net Impact Los Angeles and its Advisory Board.

Net Impact recognizes five Chapters worldwide each year for their achievements. Chapters submit reports and videos of their accomplishments to the Net Impact judging panel, comprised of advisory council and board members. These chapters demonstrate leadership and commitment to Net Impact’s values. They have also overcome the challenges presented by COVID-19. They have achieved their goal successfully and are now being recognized as Net Impact.
