New Balance Tokyo Design Studio Sneakers

New Balance Tokyo Design Studio, a new creative arm of the brand, has just released the 574 running shoe. These sneakers are a fusion of the brand’s traditional and experimental designs. The shoes will be available on August 6th and retail at $266. You can find them at select Japanese retailers and on the New Balance website. Runners and New Balance nerds alike will love these new sneakers.

This innovative design studio is based in Nihonbashi Hamacho, a neighborhood far from the traditional commercial districts in Tokyo. It houses a creative and unique team of designers who work with traditional materials and structures while creating products that are both functionally and visually appealing. In fact, the team has collaborated with several Japanese and international brands to create the in-line innovations that are currently making waves in the running shoe market.

Stone Island x New Balance was a huge success, so it’s no surprise that Tokyo Design Studio has partnered again with the company. The collaboration between the two brands resulted in an extremely successful sneaker. The latest collaboration between Tokyo Design Studio and New Balance includes a blue-and-olive upper with olive overlays on the sides. The side of the New Balance logo appears, while alternate branding appears on both the tongue and insole.

The Niobium 2, a modular hiking shoe, is another striking product from New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio. It was created in collaboration by Japanese company Snow Peak. Made from Niobium, the shoe is waterproof and breathable. It features a mudguard and ABZORB tech to keep the foot soft and protected while on the trail.
