The New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church has been around for more than a century. During this time, the church has been led by many different ministers. The Rev. Walter Jackson, who served from 1913 to 1933. Later, Rev. F. Byrd, Rev. W. M. Gypson, and Rev. D. F. Battles. Later, the congregation has been led by Rev. Parnell Smith, Sr., who has served since 1982.
In the early 1950s, the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church was located in St Pauls, NC. The church was founded in 1901 and is a Baptist church. The church has several services every week. Sunday School is held at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday Morning Worship is held at 11:00 a.m. There are also Wednesday evening services at 6:30 p.m.
