Kim has worked on legislative and policy matters at both the state and federal levels for over 10 years, serving as senior health advisor to Senator Debbie Stabenow as well as deputy director for the Special Committee on Aging. In addition, she has provided consulting services on health-related topics to corporations, nonprofits and advocacy groups.
Early Life and Education
Oliver Kim is an eminent attorney with nearly two decades of law and health policy experience. As senior partner at Polsinelli law firm and leader of its national health care practice, his expertise lies in health care compliance/regulatory matters as well as developing innovative value-based care models.
Kim also brings extensive legislative experience, having served as legislative director for Senator Debbie Stabenow and deputy staff director on the Senate Aging Committee. In these roles he dealt with issues surrounding Medicare, Medicaid and drug pricing policies among others.
Her research explores the development and implementation of an activist approach to teaching physical education to adolescent girls within public schools, teacher education courses, community sports and dance programs, socially vulnerable populations stateside as well as internationally. This work draws heavily from feminist, critical, and activist pedagogies and research methods.
Oliver Kim, an accomplished former congressional advisor and healthcare advocate with nearly two decades of legislative and policy experience both state- and federal-level, currently serves as Cambia Health Solutions’ Federal Policy Director as well as being an adjunct professor of Law at University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
He has written and presented internationally on topics involving health law and policy, such as Medicare, Medicaid and the future of aging in America. He received a Fulbright Scholar award to Canada as well as an Endeavour fellowship from Australia as an Endeavour fellow, as well as being named an American Council of Young Political Leaders Exchange Fellow.
He married Cynthia Sherrill Thomas Hansen and together they have three children; Jess, Ryan and Andy. They currently reside in St George, Utah.

Oliver has received numerous recognition and awards for his work both domestically and internationally, such as a Fulbright Scholar award to Canada, an Endeavour Fellowship from Australia’s Government, Woodrow Wilson Fellowship in Foreign Policy Studies, AcademyHealth Health Policy in Action Award. Furthermore, Oliver serves as Legislative Director for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
With its success, Oliver earned an estimated annual yearly earnings of an estimated PS1.2 Million through a sponsorship deal with British domestic appliance manufacturer Hotpoint; for whom he appeared in television advertisements and store promotions. Furthermore, Oliver has written numerous cookbooks.

Oliver Kim brings nearly two decades of legislative and policy experience at both state and federal levels.
