Packers Vs Chiefs 2011 NFL Preview

The Green Bay Packers dominated the 2011 NFL season, having not lost since December 19, 2010. The defending Super Bowl champions were on top of the game and had a great chance of winning it all again. The Kansas City Chiefs, on the other hand, were inconsistent throughout the season and had recently fired their head coach. It looked like a sure fire clincher for the Green Bay Packers, but the Chiefs were not ready for the challenge.

While the Chiefs were rebuilding, Aaron Rodgers led his Packers to a 13-0 record. Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL on FOX Galloping Gobbler Award winner, and the Packers surpassed the record they set in 1962. Todd Haley, the Chiefs’ coach was fired and replaced by Romeo Crennel.

After falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s game, Denver is now 1-3 and will play AFC West-leading San Diego next Sunday. The Packers have not lost a game so far this season. They will face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football. The two teams last played each other in the 2010-11 NFL Playoffs, and Green Bay won that game 48-21. They went on to win Super Bowl in 2011.

If the Packers win the game, Aaron Rodgers will get the victory, which will put them in the NFC playoff picture. Although the Chiefs’ pass rush will be a concern for the Bears, a defense capable enough to stop McVay’s antics should allow them to defeat the Chiefs. The Chiefs’ pass rush will be dominated by the Bears defense.

Green Bay quarterback Matt Love will make his first career start. The Chiefs’ last eight rookie quarterbacks went 0-8 in their first games. Only Mike White and Cooper Rush managed to win their debuts in Week 8. Green Bay’s coach Matt LaFleur is 33-7 and will lead the Chiefs to victory.

Both quarterbacks have struggled with interceptions over the last week, but the Packers have a skilled offensive unit around him. They also have a balanced offense, but the Chiefs lack the depth and versatility to slow down Patrick Mahomes. To win the game last week, the Packers will likely use a muffed kick return. The Chiefs will have to run more and will try to keep it close.

Green Bay was up by four touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Aaron Rodgers completed 24 out of 30 passes, including a touchdown to Davante Adam. However, he was intercepted by L’Jarius Sneed near the Kansas City goal line, and the Chiefs won the game by two scores. The Chiefs fell to 1-6, but will face Carolina in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday.
