On September 26, 2008 he released his first studio album Stadtaffe. To date, the album has sold over 1.4 million record copies. In July 2009, Fox announced the end of his solo career. He has won several Echo Awards, including one for the Album of the Year category in 2009. He won the 2010 European Border Breakers Award.
