When it comes to the NFL, the Rams have a few players who are considered all-time greats. One of the Rams’ greatest all-time players is Orlando Pace, who is a giant at an almost unbelievable size. He played on every era of the Rams’ history, making him a first-team All-Pro selection three times. He retired from the game in 2009 after an impressive career. Despite his early retirement he was a six time Pro Bowler and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016. He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for his two-time All-Pro selection.
Another Rams All-Time Player to Watch
Jack Youngblood is another Hall-of-Famer. He was an All-Pro and spent his entire 14-year NFL tenure with the team. In his second season, he led the NFL in receiving yards with 119 receptions and 13 touchdowns. He teamed up in 1999 with Kurt Warner, his Super Bowl teammate. They caught 229 passes together and accumulated 3,742 yards with 27 touchdowns.
The Rams have enjoyed great success since moving from Cleveland to St. Louis, 1995. Their offense was strong and extremely productive. Superstars Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk, Torry Hoot, Isaac Bruce, and Torry Holt were all part of their success. They were considered one of the greatest football players ever. In 1999, the Rams won their first Super Bowl. Although they were defeated by Tennessee Titans, their team was still a great one.
In addition to Youngblood, the Rams also have two Defensive Players of All-Time. Two-time MVP, Aaron Donald, is also on the list. Kurt Warner, a two-time Pro Bowl MVP and a highly sought-after Hall of Famer, was only brief with the Rams. Warner is considered one of the top 20 quarterbacks of all-time and was brought in by the team when Trent Green was injured during the preseason. After a career in the Arena Football League and NFL Europe, Warner led the electrifying offense in 1999.
Another teammate who was a key contributor to The Greatest Show on Turf was Marshall Faulk. He became the second player in NFL history to rush for over a thousand yards in a season, winning the Offensive Player of the Year three consecutive seasons from 1999 to 2001. Faulk retired as a Ram with 11,030 yards scrimmage and 85 touchdowns. He was the third overall pick in the NFL Draft in 1962. The Rams later acquired Rosey Grier from the New York Giants for a second-round pick.
Aaron Donald, a teammate, was a rookie at the Pro Bowl and was named to 2015’s All-Decade team. He will be joining Donald in LA in the 2021 season. Quinn, like Donald, was a first-team All-Pro and was twice named to the Pro Bowl. Hekker was also voted to the Pro Bowl four more times and has been a first team All-Pro since his rookie year.
