Early Life and Education

Steve Benesch attended both undergraduate and law studies at the University of Texas before being admitted to practice law in Texas in 1984 and joining Bracewell LLP, specializing in business litigation and commercial disputes.

Benesh is actively engaged in his local community, serving as deacon at his church and volunteering as Boy Scout leader. Additionally, he serves on the State Bar Grievance Committee where he has held his position for over two decades – serving as chair.

Benesh loves spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and sons, traveling, fishing, hunting and enjoying nature. He lives on 23 acres in Dripping Springs Texas with his family and has been listed by Martindale-Hubbell as an exceptional lawyer.

Steve Benesh has spent his legal career at Bracewell LLP and serves as senior partner in its Austin office. With over 35 years of first chair jury and non-jury trial experience handling complex securities, class action litigation, commercial disputes, banking & finance disputes and other disputes; Steve excels in handling high-stakes securities litigation, class actions, commercial litigation disputes as well as banking & finance disputes and related matters.
