Steve Esmond and his family – wife Dr Theresa Divine and two teenage sons – were hospitalized after coming in contact with an odorless pesticide banned since 1984 – known as methyl bromide, on a vacation trip in the US Virgin Islands.

He has participated in several large public projects, including designing and constructing water, wastewater and transportation infrastructure. Furthermore, he served as engineer-of-record at two super fund sites for hazardous material cleanup actions.

He holds professional engineering licenses in California, Texas and Arizona and boasts over three decades of experience as an engineer specializing in land development engineering as well as registered geotechnical engineering.

Mamet has played many leading roles on television and film, such as Pleasantville, Kate & Allie, Homicide and Law & Order; Room; as well as appearing in his plays House of Games, Things Change, Oleanna (reprising the role he originally created on Broadway), Spartan and Wag the Dog written and directed by Mamet.
