A member of CERN’s ATLAS experiment, Steven won in 2012 the Anderson Prize for Excellence in Teaching or Research from the University of Illinois – named in honor of Scott Anderson who established their Anderson Physics Laboratory.

Steven Frederick was an outgoing and playful individual who loved spending time with his family. An avid water skier, he enjoyed visiting the beach during summer days before going on adventures with friends or relatives.

Erich was also an active community member, serving on several boards: Stamford Public Education Foundation; Citizen Advisor to The Ferguson Library Foundation Board of Trustees; American Bar Association and Connecticut Bar Foundation Fellowship.
