TOPEKA, Kan. (KAKE) – The Kansas Supreme Court upheld convictions of two Wichita men who are accused of abusing and murdering Evan Brewer at age three. Prosecutors stated in court that Stephen Bodine tortured Evan before his death from seizures caused by Bodine and Miranda Miller torturing.

Evan’s family wept during his hearing, though they recognize it won’t bring him back. Bodine will spend 109 years in prison for first-degree felony murder, child abuse, aggravated kidnapping and endangerment charges he will serve concurrently.
