Lammers races sportscars for Racing for Holland and has won two titles under its banner. Additionally, he serves as head coach and general manager of Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League; during his two-year tenure, they compiled an outstanding regular-season record of 75-36-9 that reached the USHL Finals. As a defenseman in his playing career from 1994-98 he earned All-SUNYAC second team recognition.

Lammers made his F1 debut with F2 team McLaren before switching to Porsche privateer Richard Lloyd Racing for 1983 and 1984, scoring multiple podium finishes including at Jarama and Monza. For 1987 he joined TWR Jaguar – now sponsored by Silk Cut – where he drove alongside Grand Prix driver John Watson, winning Jarama, Fuji, Le Mans and finished sixth.

Achievement and Honors

Lammers has made his mark as a competitive marathon swimmer by participating in five 32 km Traverse internationale du lac St-Jean events in Canada as well as six 25 km Swim Across The Sound races and one 37 km Atlantic City Around The Island Swim race. In 2018, he was honored by being inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame.

Lammers also works outside his professional realm by serving on the board of Dunebrook Inc and organizing estate planning workshops to raise funds for uninsured children receiving medical care. Furthermore, he volunteers through Carmel Dads Club to assist homeless individuals while playing piano at his church of worship.
