The Vault in New Bedford Is Going to Close

The Vault, formerly Greasy Luck Brewery was opened its doors in December 2016. Christian Farland, Al Peters and Mark Martinho were previously owners of Antonio’s and Rose Alley Ale House. Greasy Luck was a local saying that referred to New Bedford’s rich history in whaling. Many breweries are located in the city, including the Vault.

Another great tourist attraction is the New Bedford Art Museum. The Vault Music Hall & Pub is another great place to enjoy a delicious treat. You can enjoy great craft beer, bourbon and ale as well as great coffee. The venue also delivers food, so you can enjoy a meal without stepping out of the venue. Regardless of your appetite, the food at The Vault will surely satisfy your hunger and make the trip worth it. The atmosphere at The Vault is relaxed, and prices are attractive.

Though the music hall portion of The Vault was slated to close, the pub side will remain open. The owners are planning to reimagine the space with a new concept. Many fans were surprised to learn that the venue’s social media page posted the news this morning. The news was first shared on Facebook by Ian Abreu, the President of the City Council. The Vault is located at 791 Purchase Street, next to Purchase Street Records. The Vault was a popular spot for local bands and featured many acts from the area. Choppahead celebrated his 21st birthday at The Vault. Also, Stephen Pearcy and Faster Pussycat performed there.
