The title of the new album is apt, considering TobyMac’s upcoming concert cancellations. The Christian singer/songwriter has been in music for nearly 30 years. His solo album, “Momentum”, was released twenty years ago. Recently, he lost his son, Truett, who was 21 years old. The singer has been in a difficult place since the loss and his recent shut down is a welcome distraction. His son’s death has also left him with a sense of hope. The Help is on the Way CD is a powerful and uplifting piece of work, and its lyrics have the power to inspire others to take up the fight against cancer.
A song from the album, “Help Is on the Way,” is a powerful track, and is one of the band’s most popular singles. It peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, and topped the US Hot Christian Songs chart. TobyMac also released a live version of “Maybe Midnight,” which they filmed during their Drive-In Theater Tour.
