His agent is now trying to secure a similar deal for Lock for 2021 and 2022.
If Seattle passes on Lock’s fifth-year option, they will let one of Everett or Dissly walk in free agency. Unless they choose to exercise that option, Lock will likely be the starter in Seattle. The Broncos took a risk when they signed Lock in Round 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Lock was expected to be the best quarterback since Peyton Manning, but he failed to stick with the team in 2021 and 2022. Unlike his peers, Bridgewater is unrestricted this offseason, and the Denver Broncos will be eager to make him their starter for the next two years.
