This summer, Chuwi released a system unit that surprised the whole world. It is the smallest 4K PC in the world. However, it can perform all the functions of a modern computer. Let us examine what he is.

Let’s move on to the main feature of the device – dimensions. Chuwi LarkBox weighs just 127 grams. That is, it is one and a half times lighter than the average smartphone. For comparison, the iPhone 11 weighs 194 g, while the Acer Aspire TC-886 system unit weighs 7.4 kg.
The dimensions of the system unit are 61 x 61 x 43 mm. This piece fits easily into a jacket pocket and doesn’t feel like a backpack. It can be easily transported and used in different rooms: at home, in the office, in the country.
The set includes a VESA adapter. With it, the system unit can be fixed on the back of a TV or monitor, so it will not take up space either on the table or under it. But even if you don’t use an adapter, it won’t take up too much space. According to the manufacturer, it is comparable in size to an apple or lemon.
There are six connectors: USB-C, HDMI 2.0, 2x USB A 3.0, microSD, 3.5 mm audio output. The ports are located on the sides of the case. Microphone and headsets are not supported. But the speed of the card reader is good – about 85 MB / s.
All configurations use the Intel 9461 adapter with one antenna. It supports Wi-Fi 5, aka 802.11ac, operating in the 5 GHz frequency range, and Bluetooth 5.1. The maximum data transfer rate is 433 Mbps.
Another Chuwi LarkBox feature is support for 4K video. It may well become an alternative to a TV box. There are no problems with the process. When playing a 4K video from YouTube, the RAM is only half clogged, and the processor is not even half loaded.
In terms of performance, the Chuwi LarkBox is weak. Processor – Intel Celeron J4115. This is a family of low-budget office processors, in terms of performance it is far from even the Core i3. Reviewers note that even when browsing the web with a lot of media elements, the performance slows down slightly.
The cooling system is active, there is only one cooler. With the work, according to reviewers, she is not doing well. When the temperature heats up to 95 degrees, the processor drops the frequency to 100 MHz for a couple of seconds. When cooled to 75 degrees, the chip picks up power again. The ventilation grill is located at the top of the case.
The amount of memory is 6 + 128 GB. There is enough RAM for a maximum of an open browser with five tabs and a messenger. If you launch a game or video editor, all other programs will need to be closed. The video card is built-in, so the computer will only run old games.
