To progress in the OSRS game you will need a cat. If you’ve already been given one by Gertrude, you can take it to Sophanem. Gertrude’s Cat quest can help you get a cat if you don’t have one. To start getting cats, Icthlarin’s Little Helper must be obtained before you can proceed with this quest.
The first quest that you have to finish to get Icthlarin’s Little Helper is Gertrude, a level 191 monster that you need to defeat in order to unlock the Pyramid Plunder reward. You can find her in Sophanem in the west part of the city. If you’re unsure where Gertrude is, you can start the quest by heading to Sophanem, where Gertrude is.
Getting a cat for the quest is easy, and you can make a cat in the game by using a pet-making skill. You will need to make it in your inventory. It will not interfere with your other activities. Then, talk to it to unlock the quest. It’s a medium-length quest that grants you 2 xp for each cat you talk to. Talking to a cat will also give you four xp for agility, woodcutting and thieving.
