Adam Henning serves as both head women’s tennis coach at SMSU and assistant director of athletic development, marketing, and communications in their athletic department. Additionally, he served as box office intern with Sioux Falls Pheasants baseball team.

Early Life and Education

Henning earned his degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports management from SMSU, working an internship with their athletic department as well as for Marshall A’s baseball team handling various game-day and box-office tasks.

Henning will lead the strategic and tactical direction for daily and breaking news coverage, as well as contribute to increasing audience ratings and digital products for WHBQ Memphis from Cox Media Group Fox affiliate WPEC West Palm Beach in Florida.

Adam Henning has extensive legal experience across numerous practice areas. He has represented clients in complex litigation matters and business transactions as well as helped resolve conflicts through mediation services.

Henning made her television debut as Betty Jo Bradley on the popular 1960s sitcom Petticoat Junction and appeared in several films including Rebel Without a Cause and Bus Stop. Additionally, Henning made appearances on several game shows such as Family Feud, Match Game Hollywood Squares and The Perfect Match.

Henning currently serves as both head women’s tennis coach at SMSU and assistant director of athletic development, marketing, and communications. Additionally, he works as a sports sales executive for both Sioux Falls Pheaants baseball team and Sioux Falls Stampede hockey club. Greta Henning and Henning reside together in Marshall.

Achievement and Honors

Henning was appointed as both head women’s tennis coach at SMSU as well as assistant director of athletic development, marketing, and communications. Furthermore, during his undergraduate studies he interned for both Marshall A’s amateur baseball team and Sioux Falls Pheasants professional baseball club.

Henning recently returned to Minnesota State as offensive line coach, where in his inaugural year with the Mavericks he helped set records in terms of rushing yards, touchdowns, points scored, sacks allowed per season (only 12), Evan Heim, Jared Gossen and Hunter Toppel earning All-NSIC honors under his tutelage.

Personal Life

Henning has made many television appearances, such as on The Ed Sullivan Show, Adam-12, Happy Days and Mork & Mindy as well as game shows Family Feud, Match Game and Hollywood Squares.

Henning was born and raised in Brooklyn, Iowa. As an undergraduate student at South Dakota State University (SDSU), Henning earned her degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports management. She completed internships with both SMSU Athletic Department and Marshall A’s amateur baseball team located in Sioux Falls during this time.

Adam does not greet Ivan when they meet at the bus stop and does not respond to his attempts at starting up conversation with him. Once they arrive at church, however, Ivan proudly shows him an apple tree growing in his garden that Ivan is quite proud to show him off.
