On 29 September 2016, Channel 4 aired the first season of Celebrity Island. It’s a spinoff from The Island with Bear Grylls which aired in charity for Stand Up to Cancer UK. The show follows the same format, with celebrities staying on the island for two weeks to raise funds for Stand Up to Cancer UK. The second series was announced on 29 August 2017, and it’s already airing.
