How To Mine Expanse

Another cryptocurrency that is based on Ethereum technology is called Expanse. Information, applications and contracts on this platform are decentralized. In fact, this currency is controlled by one small organization, and there have been repeated claims from the developers that individual voices from the mining community and individual users of this cryptocurrency are behind many significant changes. This is one of the reasons why the currency is somewhat stable.

Smart contracts as well as the blockchain make the system completely dependent on users. A distinctive feature of Expanse is the opportunity for regular miners and users to engage in the evaluation and modification of new features. This, on its part, creates new turns in the further development of the project.

Choosing a pool and connecting a wallet

We tried Expanse mining on dwarfpool, but when the address verification started, an empty page was displayed. This motivated us to go to pool.expanse.tech. It works, so let’s take it as an example, and tell you how to do the setup.

Expanse Wallet

The first step is to create a wallet, this precedes the software setup stage. As usual, we have the ability to download the wallet to your local device. However, it has the following disadvantages:

 • Installation of additional software;
 • Complexity of the software wallet interface.

We recommend storing it on online services, which are available from your browser. Transaction processing speed and commissions are the same as the software wallet, but to understand the workings of such a wallet is much easier. See for yourself: create a wallet on the online service https://expansewallet.net/  and test it yourself!

After creating a wallet you will get two keys – a public key (this key you will show when they want to transfer coins to you) and a private key (this is the key to access your wallet). Keep your private key safe and do not show it to third parties under any pretext, otherwise you risk losing your money.

Setting up your miner

First of all, you need to download the program itself before setting up Expanse mining.

When the miner is loaded, you need to open (create) a batch file (.bat) in the root directory, and then name it “Start”. In order to edit it, you can use Notepad or any other program for working with text files.

Setting up your miner

Now you need to insert the following entry into the file:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://pool.expanse.tech:8008 -ewal 0x566c8eb6f4da3d62c23d29d204tdc1s60ef4c82a -epsw x -eworker ig1 -allcoins 1

Designations:

 • 0x566c8eb6f4da3d62c23d29d204tdc1s60ef4c82a – the public wallet address should be here;
 • ig1 – name of the device.

In the next step, you need to save the changes and run the file again, if everything is done correctly, the program will start working, showing you the speed.

Now you need to reconcile the data with the pool, which should also display hashrate data – this data is transferred to the pool with a delay of a few minutes. To see these statistics, you need to enter your wallet on the main page.

If the data is also displayed on the pool, the miner has begun to work, and the setting is correct.

Everything is simple enough, connect your power and start earning.
