Additionally, he received the NATSO’s Lifetime Achievement Award and served on the board of directors of Trucking Alliance.

His most remarkable achievement was a multi-year contract with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles. Furthermore, he owned The Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza, an expansive shopping complex in Chicagoland dubbed its flagship travel plaza.
