At a North American Vintage Decoy & Sporting Collectibles Show in St. Charles, Illinois in 2016, Lyla heard Doug Lodermeier discuss his book about duck decoys; hearing this inspired her to pen her own work. Married for 36 years to wife Linda and raising four children – Kenny, Kelsea, Kyler and Kevin -, Steve spends much of his time traveling around Gwinnett County following their sports activities including baseball, volleyball and football. Additionally he enjoys riding his Harley motorcycle with both wife Linda and friends.

An avid innovator, he is never unwilling to experiment and welcomes new ideas. Audika Records was founded under his care, while Arthur Russell left him his musical archive and estate as his legacy.

He has earned numerous accolades and awards for his efforts, most recently receiving the L.B. Hartz Professional Achievement Award from MSUM for his dedication to organizations that foster community cohesion – truly an acclaim worthy of great admiration and praise!
