Dave Hanke is a Partner at Arent Fox Law Firm and an expert national security lawyer for domestic and international companies. He provides advice on various matters such as foreign investment screening by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and implementation of the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act.

Early Life and Education

David Hanke was born and raised in Virginia, where he attended elementary school, middle school, and college in the Williamsburg area.

He married Laurel and together they have four children. When not reading, cooking, gardening or playing games they love to travel around the world – whether that be on foot, by plane or motorhome!

Dave has been a longtime friend of Carroll University and an active supporter. He has helped raise funds for the Class of ’76 endowed scholarship fund as well as serving as guest speaker at undergraduate and graduate classes.

Personal Life

David Hanke lives a private life and keeps his family details private. He is married to Jami, and they have two children together: Scott and Shelley.

He enjoyed sharing many laughs with friends and going on vacations to Walt Disney World or his mother’s lake house. In his free time he would go water skiing, boat riding and playing “knock” games.

He was an avid football fan and enjoyed tailgating with his Rams season ticket. He was an exemplary person, willing to do anything for anyone. A true friend, he always made others feel good about themselves.
